Aidmatrix wins Supply Chain Distinction Awards 2009 For Technologies that place people first
The Aidmatrix Foundation, a non-profit organization specialized in supply chain solutions for humanitarian relief also having its India operations, has won the Supply Chain Distinction Awards 2009 in the category Best Supply Chain Solutions Provider. Shari Temple, Managing Director, Aidmatrix Europe, accepted the award yesterday at the European Supply Chain and Logistics Summit 2009 awards dinner in Düsseldorf.

Commenting on the achievement, Shari Temple, Managing Director for Aidmatrix in Europe said,“It is an honor for Aidmatrix to receive this prestigious award and to be recognized by top supply chain judges for our work in the humanitarian sector”. This year the competition was very intense, around 60 companies entered including Arcelor Mittal, British American Tobacco, Cisco, Ford Motor Co, Omprompt, HSBC, Tetra Pak, Tata Consulting, Cadbury and One Network . The award panel includes some eminent names like Maurice Lee -Value and Chain and Logistic Director, Procter and Gamble, Paul Stuart- Head of Global Clinical supply, Pfizer, Patrick Scholler - Procurement Director, HP, Aidan Murphy- MD, Supply chain, C&C GroupZZ, Giampiero Ruffatto- ISC Director and Glabal PV, Honeywell, Dr Kevin Robinson- Senior Editor, Supply Chain Europe Magazine, Tonet Rivera- VP Supply Chain, Mead Johnson Nuritional, Debra Hofman, VP AMR Research.
Aidmatrix was among four finalists for the "Best Value Chain / Supply Chain Solutions Provider" category which included: Integration Point, One Network, and Next Level Purchasing. In addition, Aidmatrix was a finalist in a second category for "Supply Chain Innovation Award" along with Proctor & Gamble, Belron and British Telecom.
One of the applications that, this award winning technology is being used in India is for the Corporate Disaster Resource Network (CDRN). The Corporate Disaster Response Network, has been launched under the Auspices of the Corporate Task Force of the National Disaster Management Authority, (NDMA) and is an initiative of CSO Partners and Aidmatrix. CDRN is a web based Humanitarian Relief Management system that helps Relief, Response agencies and Governments to access and feed in real time information on products and services required and offered for emergency humanitarian relief to provide "The Right Aid, To the Right People, At The Right Time". At present CDRN has National and State level Industry Federations which have over 12000 Industry members as users and is in the process of intergrating many more State and National Industry Federations and Relief Agencies to leverage these technologies to provide Right Aid at the Right Time
